Alexander Paley Music Festival

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Ms. Chen graduated from Mannes College of Music with a special piano award. In 1995, she made her New York recital debut in the Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall.

Frequently performing piano duo with her husband Alexander Paley, Ms. Chen has performed in Alice Tully Hall (New York), Salle Olivier Messiaen (Paris, France), the Forbidden City Concert Hall (Beijing, China), the National Concert Hall (Taipei,Taiwan), and in many other places in the USA, Europe, and Asia. Recent highlights include: performances of Mozart and Mendelssohn Piano Concertos for 2 pianos with the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra; Mozart Piano Concertos for 2 and 3 pianos with Kleipeda Chamber Orchestra, Lithuania; complete J. S. Bach concerti for 2 and 3 pianos and Bartok Sonata for 2 pianos and percussion.

As a collaborative artist, Ms. Chen has been working with artists like Licia Albanese, Regina Resnik, Elly Ameling, Jon Vickers, Deborah Voigt, Sherrill Milnes, among others. In addition, Ms.Chen has served for many seasons as a pianist for the Metropolitan Opera Guild Productions, Washington Opera, Amato Opera, Regina Opera, and New York Lyric Opera Theatre. She has been a member of the music staff of IVAI in Virginia, and a faculty member for VOICExperience in Florida. Ms. Chen is a member of the faculty of Mannes College of Music.
